We cordially invite you to the Inaugural New Year Event of the Ann Arbor Mahjong Club. Please join us at the charming Arise Cafe in Saline for an afternoon dedicated to the spirit of the game and the community we’ve built together. Each admission fee includes a reserved seat for three hours of play at a Luxury Tablescape, complemented by a choice of a signature bakery pastry paired with a signature café refreshment.

Beyond the tiles, this gathering offers a wonderful opportunity to network with fellow enthusiasts and cultivate lasting connections. Our hope is that this event serves as a catalyst for members to form their own private home play groups, further enriching the Mahjong community within our region.
Participation & Skill Level
This event is designed for those ready for friendly, spirited play. In the interest of maintaining the evening’s flow, we kindly ask that all participants have a working knowledge of basic gameplay. The founder, Julie, will be in residence to provide guidance and clarify any nuances of play throughout the event.
Should you wish to learn to play before the event, the club offers a variety of foundation lessons to ensure you feel confident and prepared at the table. Please submit a lesson request on the main page.
Our Commitment Policy
To maintain the quality of our event and fulfill our commitments to our host venue and staff, the $45 registration fee is non-refundable. We thank you for your understanding and support of the Ann Arbor Mahjong Club!
